Now-a-days, DOWRY became a social evil in India. Most of the Ladies remained as unmarried due to Dowry system in India even after attaining the age of 40 years. Some of the married women are discarded by the men due to dowry harassment. No. of Deaths taking place in India due to dowry harassments. No. of Domestic violence cases are also increasing day by day in India. No. of highly educated and highly earning women to a tune of Rs.1 Lakh per month also remained unmarried due to demand of dowry by the young men in India, as the poor parents of such women unable to pay huge amounts of dowry in lakhs as demanded by men. Thus, majority of women folk in our India victimizing due to the existence of Dowry system in marriages in India. Most of the working women remained unmarried even after attaining the age of 40 years and leading miserable lives.

Most of the marriage in India are performing at the houses or community halls or marriage function halls by taking entire responsibility by the parents of the bride vesting huge amounts in lakhs, besides paying huge amounts of dowry to the bride-groom.
Boys are treated as an asset whereas; girls are treated as a liability. They are often subjected to subjugation and are given second hand treatment in education and other amenities
In some cases, the dowry system leads to unimaginable tortures and crimes towards women, ranging from fraud, emotional abuse, domestic violence and injury to even deaths (bride’s suicide or killing).
Most dowry deaths occur when the young woman, unable to bear the harassment and torture, commits suicide by hanging themselves or consuming poison.
India has the highest number of dowry-related deaths globally and the numbers are alarming. As per the statistics released by the Indian National Crime Record Bureau, a woman dies every hour and this is the case when dowry-related crimes are largely under reported.
Although the current generation pretends to be marrying with no demands, just behind the scenes the groom merrily accepts expensive gifts claiming that the bride’s family wasn’t compelled but gifted it out of their own free-will.

GIRL BORN:- BIRTH OF GIRL is not appreciating by any parent or their family members and expecting for boy with a view to gain more demanding dowry.
Death by Dowry’:-According to the National Crime Records Bureau, 7,634 women died due to dowry harassment in 2015. Rather alarmingly, this is the equivalent of 20 women dying every day.

OATH:-
It is quite necessary to eradicate the social evil of Dowry in the Marriage system in India. At the Preliminary stage, it is very necessary to encourage young men to take oath that they shall not take dowry or their family members shall not demand dowry from the bride. Such Oath taking by the Young men reduce the Dowry System in marriages in India. So that, the Women folk will be survived from the social malevolence of Dowry India. Besides, Documentaries against the Dowry system to be played in all theatres to suppress the evil desire of the human-beings in India and to save the innocent women folk in India.
MISSION :-
I feel it is necessary to inspire the Young men by conducting Seminars to eradicate the social malevolence of Dowry India to make our country as “DOWRY FREE INDIA”
